Frederick George Peel

Fred joined the P.M.G. upon leaving school as a Telegraph Messenger.  He then enlisted in the Army, seeing service in the 25 Australian WT Section (Light) as Signalman at Morotai, Labuan and after the surrender, in Rabaul.  Returning to the Commonwealth Public Service upon return, he joined the Department of the Territories in 1966 and was appointed Deputy Register of the Administrative Appeal Tribunal in 1976.
