Bob followed his brother in attending MHS in 1966. Their father was an R.A.A.F. Officer. Peter Starkie transferred from Glen Waverley High School to complete his Matric (which he did over two years) 1965-1966. Peter studied Science, and joined the Sky Hooks as a Guitarist at its foundation in March 1973, though he left after 5 months. Peter died in 2020. Bob was involved with the School opera in his first year at school.
