Vale – Alfred Marshall Jackson (23 July 1919 – 1 July 2020).
MHS 1933
Alfred was a Spring Road Central student, who like many in that era, left MHS early, working as a compositor, rising to Production Manager. He joined the Army in WWII, serving in the Supply Column of the 7 Division. A Lieutenant, he served in the Middle East, including time in Tobruk which started an association that continued for life. An active member of the Rats of Tobruk Association, he was attending the Christmas Lunch at 99, and still enjoying a beer. In 1943 he married Joyce Elaine White. Alfred celebrated his Centenary in July last year.
