John Maxwell Davey

John joined the Bank as a Clerk after leaving school, before enlisting in the R.A.A.F., where as a Flying Officer with the 78 Squadron he saw service in Australia and Morotai.  Returning to Nhill after the war, he took over his father’s Tobacconist and Hairdresser business.  He married Margaret Elsie Dalitz in 1947.  John was active in the Nhill RSL Sub Branch, including time as Vice President.
